Hello marvelous reader, my name is Paul Lynch. I will be your LYIT Student Union President for the upcoming year. Working last year as the VP/Welfare officer i have learned many things about myself, the Institute and the students here in our wonderful college. Although I have already been here for a year in a SU position, I have so much more to learn! but enough about me, what does a student union president do you may ask? Most importantly I represent you, the student. This can be in many different ways but if you want to know more please call on into the office for a nice informal conversation on what I can do for you!

On behalf of the institute I would like to extend a welcome to returning students to the college and hope that the incoming year will be as fantastic as the last. For new students I would like to wish you a warm welcome. It can be daunting and scary settling into third level education but remember to take things one day at a time. I hope that you have a fantastic time and don’t be afraid to ask any questions.
